However, these days 3M undertake an onsite Audit of your facility and you must evidence you comply with their standards and follow their processes.

As an example, the Audit now includes the tracking of 3M materials used against each customer’s job. And when you have hundreds of different products being produced each week this is not as simple as records in an Excel spreadsheet.
